Commotion in the Ocean

Children’s holiday activities have generated discussions about their experiences. Beach treasures have been brought in for show and tell, demonstrating that the children have a common interest in all aspects about the ocean and fishing. This has lead to an interest in creatures that live in the sea.
In the Nga Whetu classroom we read the story book called Commotion in the Ocean. This has sparked the creation of a mural of sea creatures with many children contributing. To see what we’ve been up too……. click here: Commotion in the Ocean (PDF)
In Just for Kids classroom children have been busy making an aquarium.
