$8,000 Grant from CCT.

Date: November 4, 2010 | Category: News

Country Kids has received $8,000 from The Canterbury Community Trust – towards the purchase of playground equipment for our two playgrounds.

At Country Kids we are a moving, community based centre who has worked extremely hard over the last 5 years renovating our building and changing environment areas to cater for the ever increasing demands for quality care and education.

We pride ourselves at Country Kids to be able to provide many unique things including  Daily Perceptual Motor Training.

It has been found that if a child is first organised physically, there is correlated improvement in perceptual abilities which makes later teaching  more effective. This ensures our children are well set for future learning

We are so excited that The Canterbury Community Trust has awarded this grant to assist us in our plan to purchase new moveable equipment for our outside areas. The great thing about moveable equipment is that you can set it up to directly meet children’s requirements; age/stage of development, individual learning needs or just for fun.  Children have a chance to help design play equipment using ideas and concepts of their own.

A huge thankyou to The Canterbury Community Trust for their support to Country Kids.
