Funding cuts hit Nelson Centres

More than 1600 Nelson children and their families will be directly affected by Budget cuts to early childhood education, says Nelson-based Labour MP Maryan Street….[read more in this article in the Nelson mail on 18th August]

Country Kids Manager, Nickie Hodgkinson says that while Country Kids will also be affected by the cuts it will not be making cuts to service quality.

“Country Kids offers a fantastic programme and resources which is well above the minimum requirements. We are determined not to reduce these in any way or to the quality of our teaching staff.”

We are very lucky to have just finished a major refurbishment of our Centre. This makes it easier to ease back on property management and to concentrate on maintaining our programme.
