Lee Corlett of Sports Initiative

Date: May 24, 2010 | Category: Combined activities

Lee Corlett comes every Friday to Country Kids to lead an Early Childhood physical activity programme. These are fun filled activity sessions delivered region wide by Lee and his team which help develop sensory motor skills in our children. Activities range from developing the skills of rhythm bouncing, throwing, catching etc. to fine motor. eg dexterity/hand eye co-ordination. Many of the exercises Lee does involves crossing over the centre point of the body which involves both the left and right side of the brain.

The following photo’s show children balancing a feather on a fly swat, holding a ball between their fingers in different positions and balancing but most of all having fun!
