We have had an awesome month and are also enjoying being outside. Water play has been a regular with tipping, pouring, squirting and splashing. We have also been looking at maths concepts and science, half full, half empty, what happens when we mix colours, cause and effect. Lorraine has been busy painting faces so we have had a lot of dramatic play, with the children acting as cats, dogs, tigers and butterflies. During group time we have been playing singing games. A favourite at the moment is Sandy Girl and The Honey Bear Pot. All the children are gaining confidence at these games. We have been encouraging the children to be independent with their belongings-putting shoes on, clothing away and hanging up their own paintings. We are so proud how well our children are taking responsibility!
